FleetAfrica is fully committed to the Black Economic Empowerment project and to create an environment that is conducive for the development of previously disadvantaged individuals and businesses.


Since the adoption of the Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment Codes of Good Practice Act 53 of 2003 FleetAfrica has managed to outperform its competitors in investing in the development of the beneficiaries of the act. Our BEE Levels from 2012 clearly demonstrated the concerted effort that the company makes to invest in the development of previously disadvantaged communities.

FleetAfrica is committed to building an inclusive work environment that affords equal opportunities for all South African. FleetAfrica’s executive management team has introduced strategic human capital and Employment Equity programs that are designed to remove career progression barriers for employees from previously disadvantaged backgrounds.

FleetAfrica has further invested in the development of Black owned and Black woman owned Exempted Micro Enterprises and Qualifying Small Enterprises. We invest over 35% of our procurement spend on these on an annual basis.

As a Level 1 BBBEE contributor, FleetAfrica has been instrumental in opening up economic opportunities for individuals from previously disadvantaged backgrounds in the fleet management value chain.

Our commitment to developing previously disadvantaged employees is unparalleled in our industry. Most of the senior executives and managers in the industry received their break and training from FleetAfrica. In the past 30 years FleetAfrica invested heavily in transforming itself to reflect the demographics of South African populace.

We continue to invest in the empowerment of previously disadvantaged communities through skills development, enterprise and supplier development and community development initiatives.
